Felix Augenfeld (1893–1984) studied at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna under Karl König and Max von Ferstel, before going on to the Bauschule of Adolf Loos. He then established an atelier with Karl Hofmann, which lasted from 1922 to 1938. He also assisted Oskar Strnad as a stage designer and theatre architect in Vienna and London in 1931. In 1938, he emigrated to London and then, in the following year, to the USA, where he set up his own practice. Augenfeld worked primarily as an interior and furniture designer; together with Karl Hofmann, he furnished house no. 13 at the Werkbund Estate.
