Willy Wiesner

Willy Wiesner (1899–?) worked in an atelier with the architect Hans Schlesinger, who was nine years older than him. In 1929, they submitted a joint entry to the ‘Weekend House Competition’; a year later, they designed a living room for the exhibition ‘Book and Space Today’ in the Künstlerhaus in Vienna. At the Werkbund Estate, the pair were responsible for furnishing house no. 23 by Clemens Holzmeister. After the National Socialists took power, Willy Wiesner emigrated to the USA.
